Questions
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?
No. To see quotes, we only need your gender, birth date, current health condition, whether you use tobacco, the coverage amount you want, and how long you want it. Your name, location and medical history only come in if you decide to apply.
Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?
The prices displayed are what each company quotes for your chosen category. Carriers set your actual premium following their own underwriting, which might place you in a higher, lower, or equivalent class. The rates here are informational; they are not a guarantee, offer, or final price.
What happens when I click Apply?
After selecting a company, your name goes in and we generate an application using that exact quote. It opens in a protected system where you provide details, pause as needed, and sign your name electronically. Susman Insurance Agency, a licensed California insurance provider (License 0B75129), manages the process.
Will I need a medical exam?
That depends on your specific company, the coverage level you request, and your health profile. Several insurers now handle approvals without exams for qualified applicants; your quote will note whether the company typically requires a screening, might require one, or skips it.
Is a longer term better?
A term spans the years when your household would suffer most if your earnings disappeared: mortgage years, years with young kids, years covering a business loan. Longer terms cost more monthly but hold the rate steady longer. Our quote engine lets you test 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30 year options from all participating companies.
Does this site sell my information?
No. The tool doesn't request your name, phone or email for quotes. We don't sell data, don't use tracking for ads, and don't collect anything beyond what's needed. See the privacy section for the full accounting of what gets gathered and by whom.
